What does a chiropractor do?

Majority of people perceive Chiropractic care to be associated solely with the treatment of ‘back pain.’ Chiropractic care encompasses a vast array of techniques for the treatment of conditions including but not limited to; back pain, muscular dysfunction, headaches, tingling, numbness, postural instability and pains and strains.

At Total Health Brookvale our Chiropractors focus on providing soft tissue treatments, including massage, exercise therapy and the selective use of adjustments. Total Health Chiropractors are specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage injuries. Your chiropractor will use a range of diagnostic methods including observational and tactile assessments, orthopaedic and neurological evaluation as well as skeletal imaging where necessary. Our focus is on the musculoskeletal unit as a whole, identifying and treating any biomechanical limitations. Where necessary we refer patients to appropriate specialists or co-manage with other health care providers to ensure our patients receive optimal treatment.
